Console

A Console is A stand alone device designed for video gaming. It differs from a computer in that it is not manufactured with the intent of running applications beyond games and the hardware configuration is identical among like models. It differs from arcade machines in that it is designed for home or personal use. Some Consoles are pocket sized and have a built in screen and controller for portable use, called Handhelds. Other consoles have a separate controller and connect to a standard television or monitor.
